People have stopped buying my widgets because they’ve been laid off, or fear they soon will be. No widget sales, no money for me. But I have two sons who need money for college and the roof is leaking and threatens to get worse. I have only enough money for either the materials to repair the roof, or to pay for my sons’ education. The solution:

I hire my sons to help me fix the roof and maybe a few other chores that I’ve neglected; then give them the money for school. Their teachers and all the workers at their school can now afford my widgets. My sons graduate as a lawyer and a business man and put me into the best nursing home in Florida -Friday night pizza and young nurses.

That’s Obama’s plan, and it’s a good one. It’s scary, but the infrastructure of country has been for too long neglected. The roof is really leaking. The Republicans and their corporate masters have raped the country for far too long, decimating the middle class, which has always been the backbone of America’s strength.

This is our one and last chance to make things right and to return us to the greatness I knew as a boy. We must return this country from the nearly third-world status it now holds in most areas by which civilization is judged and once again to become the becon to all mankind can achieve.

The epicenter was in Dover, N.J., not New York City, but thirty five miles is almost walking distance and although a 3.0 quake can’t do much damage, it makes one wonder, “what if?”. and “when?”

I grew up in New York City, and though I haven’t been back in decades, I’ll always love her and always feel like a piece of me will always be a New Yorker.

New Yorkers feel like they’ve conquered Mother Nature. She’s been mostly pushed out of town. Skinny trees are planted in squares where pieces of sidewalk have been removed. They grow there as alien novelties among the steel and concrete.

In New York City, man has triumphed over nature and reigns supreme and proud, like a three year old who’s been allowed to win a race by a loving parent.

And like a parent, Mother Nature sometimes reminds us of our truly powerless place on the planet.

Tonight she did exactly that.

And yet most of the content to date has been about life and death struggles and death’s inevitable victory.

I am as fascinated by the subject as anyone, but when it comes to real life as opposed to these cyber visions, I despise suffering and the needless taking of life. This applies to all creatures, of any size.

Even ants.

There are some things you’ve got to do, even if it means ending lives, but I am ecstatic to say, that it does not apply to killing ants. I have found a way to rid a domicile of the tiny invaders without killing them, or your family with pesticides.

Last week, after finding my kitchen infested, I sprayed their trail with Avon’s Skin So Soft. I worked! The ants were gone immediately and I haven’t seen one since.

Every breathing creature wants to keep its life, while other creatures must take it to sustain their own.

Could this be Hell?
